System is not always right and some of us get over looked whilst others cheat

Just going to be real here and say it like it is , banes system doesn’t always sit right with me for instance many can cheat the system and others get over looked and left to rot on the list for years , like many I am waiting on affordable rent and most likely won’t get anywhere or will be a pensioner by the time they pull there finger out and sort the crisis out , I come from a town I was actually born in and placed band c young child living with my parents both in 60s with disabilities or health issues , 70 weeks and never got below 80 for flats or 200 odd for a house in my own town , yet the next town I could be number 15 it’s ridiculous, I make the community I was born in why should I be left out . I’ve seen people moved from one place to another , I personally know someone that got a extra room which isn’t needed and could’ve Gone to a family instead since they were adequately housed . I know people that have been moved and none of this information is shared some of the let’s don’t even get put up . Housing to many outsiders that cause anti social issues here and people most definitely do dominate the housing list. Quite frankly I’m fed up but moaning won’t get me nowhere , I feel people like me get overlooked , I may have a roof over my head but the tenacy isnt mine we share facilities and can’t do family things when my parents just want peace and quiet instead they have to have me and my child here running around .
Generations are over occupying 3 or more bedrooms so no one can ever get shifted around , building is taking far to long in banes , planning ahead is great if your young and got years but some people haven’t and most will have grown up children before there housed . There is so much more that can be said but I expect many of us are fed up . Ive yet to see any changes to the housing plans for banes over the next 5 years , let’s hope some of us at the bottom of the list may see the situation change but cant say I have faith in bath and north east somerset right now .

I totally agree with you michelle we are overcrowded in damp and mould conditions health problems especially lung issues yet we are told to wait yet there are empty houses but Curo and banes say they can’t do anything because rent is being paid on them.yes by benefits the system is absolutely terrible they need to sort this out.there have been a few properties that would be suitable for a large family but they have moved families in with only 2 children in it’s not right
