I have lived in bath my whole life, worked since I was 13 and I am getting no support. I have been homeless since February yet have been told specifically that I am not a priority. I have been told by the housing options people to sleep in my car that doesn’t lock from the inside and that is perfectly okay. I don’t have savings and cannot afford to private rent with what I earn a month on top of bills and other outgoings which have all been cut down to just my car.
Other people who I know on a very personal level have places to live yet are being moved up bands and offered properties and solutions. What do you have to do to be classed as a priority? Just because people work doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be made a priority, to be told as a mentally vulnerable woman to continue sleeping in a car that does not lock and wait until I can afford to rent privately is disgusting.
