I’m disabled with lung issues and use an oxygen machine full time. I can’t go up and down the stairs easily and it takes me a long time to recover from any physical activities.
I have no partner or family and only get by by the grace of my close friends and good people. I don’t drive and don’t have carers sorted yet. (in process)
I’m desperate to find somewhere to live that’s not up 4 flights of stairs but seems impossible on UC, as I can’t work in my current condition.
I have no dependents and have a currently not homeless so I am considered a low priority but every day I have to go out to buy food or even to let the supermarket delivery person in, I have to go up and down the stairs as there’s no intercom.
I had to go to the hospital in an ambulance a few months ago because I was very unwell and couldn’t breathe and I STILL had to drag myself downstairs to let the EMT in. They couldn’t believe I have to live like this.
I am just so tired and losing my will to push forward with finding a place.
I really wish I could get some help.
