I rent my house privately . As much as I love my home it has a real damp problem.
Mr bedroom.wall and ceiling iare onstantly damp and Im worried it might collapse at some point.
The renting agency cant solve the source of the problem.
The bathroom.is slso very damp and tbe lounge and kitchen have areas of black mould .
I have been diagnosed with severe arthritits and Im sure its due to the damp ad Im not old.
I have given up trying to get a council house as even if I bid first the higher priority clients get to the top of the queue. Many Curo properties are damp anyway Ive heard from friends who are renting from the council.
What can be done to tackle the damp and give us confidence in a broken housing system that also offers damp properties. We shouldnt be living in tbese medieval conditions .
